State Government Cabinet Ministers will meet in the Peel Region on Monday, February 28.
Deputy Premier and Dawesville MLA Kim Hames will host the event and will be joined by Premier Colin Barnett and other Liberal-National Government Ministers.
Mr. Barnett said regional Cabinet meetings gave Government Ministers a better understanding of local issues.
“Ministers take the opportunity to visit sites and organisations directly related to their portfolios and the community and local governments are able to inform the State Government on local issues.” the Premier said.
Dr. Hames said Ministers would have the opportunity to see first-hand the rapid population growth and development in the Peel Region.
“As a Local Member for Dawesville, I look forward to showing my Cabinet colleagues the important place Peel holds in the fabric of Western Australia.” Dr. Hames said.
Ministers will meet with 200 invited guests at a community lunch in the Dawesville electorate.
“I have recently toured the Peel Region with Regional Development Minister Brendon Grylls, to discuss some challenges facing this important area.” Dr. Hames said.
“I look forward to having the opportunity to show other Ministers areas of this Region which would benefit from additional attention.” Dr. Hames said.
