Work Starts On Eliminating Mobile Black Spots In The Orange Electorate

Victor P Taffa

Member for Orange Andrew Gee today said that residents in the Orange electorate will be better connected with work now underway to eliminate up to 795 mobile black spots across the State.

Mr. Gee said the Mobile Black Spot Program fulfils the New South Wales (NSW) Government’s election commitment to invest $24 Million to fix some of the worst mobile phone black spots across NSW.

“Mobile black spots are a constant source of irritation to country people.” Mr. Gee said.

“They are an impediment to country business expansion and can be downright dangerous in an emergency, when help is needed fast.”

“The sooner we get these black spots cleared up, the better.”

Mr. Gee said new sites to be built in the Orange electorate include

  • Bedgerebong,
  • Cargo,
  • Cumnock,
  • Eugowra,
  • Jemalong,
  • Manildra,
  • Molong,
  • Warroo.

Towers at Cargo, Molong, Warroo and Manildra will be rolled out in the next six months.

“Whether it’s new highways, hospitals, education facilities and now mobile phone towers, we are providing the infrastructure that regional NSW needs to grow and prosper.” Mr. Gee said.
