New Fire Station At Bayswater Officially Open

Andrews Government has officially opened the new state-of-the-art fire station in Bayswater, providing improved emergency services for the community and better facilities for volunteers.
Minister for Police and Emergency Services Lisa Neville and Member for Bayswater Jackson Taylor today toured the new $2.84 Million facility, as part of the State Government’s CFA capital works program and a contribution of $138,000 from the brigade.
“This state-of-the-art station will provide the Bayswater brigade with the modern facilities they deserve, as well as space to train and prepare for emergency incidents.” Minister for Police and Emergency Services Lisa Neville said.
4-bay station provides the Bayswater CFA brigade with modern facilities, meeting rooms, storage areas and workshops as well as a computer hub for those who give up their business time to support the brigade.
New station gives the brigade more space, making it easier for them to continue their proud history of protecting residential properties and businesses.
“Bayswater Fire Brigade provides a vital service to people and businesses in the community, and this new fire station will help firefighters keep the community safe.” Member for Bayswater Jackson Taylor said.
Bayswater CFA Brigade which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year has more than 80 volunteers who also lend their support to surrounding brigades when required.
Bayswater CFA Brigade has come a long way in 50 years since the vehicle was once parked at the back of a service station under a tarp before being moved to a tin shed.
Bayswater CFA Brigade now responds to approximately 470 callouts each year, including fires, motor vehicle accidents and hazardous material incidents.
