Applications for a Statewide Volunteer Services Director with Ambulance Tasmania have opened.

This is a vital role in leading and supporting our hardworking volunteer ambulance officers across Tasmania, Minister for Health Michael Ferguson said.

“Hodgman Government is committed to supporting paramedics and volunteer ambulance officers and improving response times through our 6-year $125 Million plan to boost services.” Minister Ferguson said.

This investment will save lives, through employing more paramedics, building better facilities and providing more training resources.

Importantly, we are providing $800,000 per year for our Volunteer Support Package, which will support volunteer ambulance officers like never before by delivering improved coordination, valuable training and well-deserved recognition.

“Ambulance services are often the frontline of our health services, assisting Tasmanians everyday by being the first responders in stressful and challenging situations, and I know the community would join me in thanking them for the lifesaving work they do.” Minister Ferguson said.
