Wait is over for many Victorian students who will find out today if they have received a first-round university or TAFE offer.
Today 51,638 main round offers have been made to students for undergraduate and vocational courses.
Acting Minister for Training and Skills and Higher Education James Merlino today congratulated all students who received an offer, noting there were plenty of options for those who were not successful this time round.
“We said we would deliver free TAFE and today students have been offered places in those priority courses.” Acting Minister for Training and Skills and Higher Education James Merlino said.
“We’re building the Education State, investing in our education and training system so Victorians get the skills they need for the jobs and futures they want.”
Students can either wait on further rounds of VTAC offers or change their VTAC preference, as long as they meet course requirements.
Students are also encouraged to enrol in one of the 30 priority TAFE courses and 20 pre-apprenticeship courses under the Andrews Government’s $172 Million Free TAFE Initiative.
Free TAFE is reducing barriers to training for the jobs most in demand on major road and rail projects, in building schools and hospitals and caring for our loved ones.
TAFE institutes, including universities that offer TAFE courses, are taking enrolments for Free TAFE courses.
